Mr. Lysons’ practice emphasizes land use transactions, disputes between property owners, the processing of land use and subdivision applications, environmental review processing, builder permitting issues, and zoning enforcement defense.
He attended California State University, Sacramento, earning his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1987. He obtained his Juris Doctor in 1999, from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Lysons worked as an engineer in land use regulation for the Contra Costa County Public Works Department. From his experience, he can assist clients in finding creative solutions to both the technical and regulatory issues involved in land development. He joined the Firm’s Land Use Department in 2000.
Mr. Lysons is a member of the California State Bar Association and the Real Estate Section of the Contra Costa County Bar Association. He is a licensed Civil Engineer in California and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Additionally, he is involved in Contra Costa Council, Leadership Contra Costa and other community organizations.
Mr. Lysons has been a resident of Contra Costa County since 1985.
